Job Title: HVAC/R Technicians

NSC Staffing is seeking experienced HVAC/R Technicians for an exciting upcoming project in Norfolk, Virginia. We seek candidates with 2-10 years of experience and a strong understanding of shipboard and industrial/commercial HVAC/R practices, particularly in military and industrial environments.

Key Details:

  • Position: HVAC/R Technician
  • Location: Norfolk, VA
  • Number of Positions: Approximately 3-5 Technicians
  • Contract Duration: Initial 90 days with potential for permanent hire based on performance
  • Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience
Qualifications:
  • Certifications: EPA Universal Certification required
  • Experience:
  • Ideal candidates will have a mix of service and installation experience.
  • Preference for individuals with shipyard experience and relevant technical/trade school certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, install, and repair HVAC/R equipment and systems aboard Navy vessels and at job sites.
  • Conduct routine inspections and tests to ensure proper system operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers to assess issues and establish work schedules.
  • Understand and apply HVAC/R theory, Navy specifications, and operational principles.
  • Safely handle refrigerants and utilize various HVAC/R tools and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and installing ductwork.
