NSC Technologies is currently seeking experienced After-Hours Facilities Technician for an ongoing project in Hawaii, HI. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience and demonstrate a strong understanding of rigging processes aboard ships and within industrial environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and light repairs on equipment and facilities.
  • Identify and report major repairs needed.
  • Conduct routine landscaping and general maintenance of facility grounds.
  • Obtain or maintain forklift certification.
  • Proactively improve the appearance of equipment and facilities.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Write incident reports as necessary.
  • Patrol the premises to ensure all equipment and spaces are in good working order, checking every two hours.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Education, Training, and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities being maintained.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Proven experience as a handyman, building maintenance technician, or in a related field.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Capable of accessing and navigating all areas of the facilities and equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing may be required.
Additional Information:
  • Must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to clearance necessary for base access.
  • Must successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Must successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential for access to federally controlled worksites.
  • All candidates must pass a post-offer drug screening and background check.
  • Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license (Class 3 or higher) in good standing is required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is essential.
Work Environment: You will work in shipyards, aboard vessels, or industrial settings where attention to detail, quality work, and adherence to safety protocols are essential. Projects will involve hands-on welding and supervision of helpers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
