AV Project Manager & System Designer 
Location: Roanoke, VA
Pay: $60,000 - $85,000 annually 


This position will work with stakeholders, including clients, sales staff, installation staff, and company management to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering commercial installation projects on time, on budget, and of the highest quality. This includes meeting with clients and LHS staff, creating and reviewing drawings, monitoring and assisting with field installations, testing and configuring equipment, and training end-users in its operation.

Provides on-site supervision and management to install team members for the duration of their assignment to a project being managed by said individual. This includes, but is not limited to, setting schedules, directing work, monitoring quality of work (and correcting work as needed), and ensuring compliance with company and client policies, including safety policies.

Provides post-sales systems design, project management and systems commissioning for commercial installation projects. Review equipment list(s), produces schematic drawings, architectural layouts, and makes modifications to the equipment list/design as needed. Initiates and authorizes changes to equipment lists and designs to ensure system functionality, including authorizing procurement of different or additional equipment as required. Additionally, this position is responsible for initiating and authorizing job-related expenditures such as equipment rentals, tool purchases, and personnel travel accommodations.
Works with the client and the sales/pre-sales design team to handle changes in the design, whether client or LHS initiated. Meets with clients and LHS staff, both onsite and remotely, to establish project implementation expectations, schedules, and other perform other required coordination.
Produces required project documentation (including submittals, spec sheets, training documents, handover documents, and other materials as required) to meet the project specifications. Performs system commissioning tasks including, but not limited to, network setup, initial audio and video testing & configuration, and programming.

Advanced knowledge of commercial AV systems
Ability to design system layouts in various CAD software packages
Strong knowledge of computer systems
Basic knowledge of computer networking
Working knowledge of Audio DSP system design, including open-architecture
Working knowledge of Control system implementation tools

3-6+ years of experience in the commercial Audio-Visual Industry
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings & schematics
Working knowledge of commercial Audio-Visual equipment
Highly organized and detail oriented
Able to handle multiple, simultaneous projects and tasks as assigned
Able to manage multiple schedules simultaneously for multiple projects to ensure compliance with required deadlines

Associates Degree in technology related field, or equivalent industry experience in Audio-Visual Systems Design and Project Management
Possess AVIXA CTS-D Certification, or Acquire within 180 days in position
First Aid + CPR Training, or Acquire within 30 days in position
OSHA 30 Certification, or Acquire within 90 days in position

Ability to frequently move audio/visual equipment overhead weighing up to 50lbs
Ability to work at heights, including ascending/descending a ladder and elevated work platforms to install equipment
Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
Ability to constantly position self to install equipment, pull cable to include working in confined space

LHS Offices, Commercial Buildings, Schools, University Buildings, State, Local and Federal Government Properties, including non-conditioned indoor environments and outdoor work at times

Travel and hours of work will vary depending on client needs but will typically include M-F from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a yearly average of 50% travel expected.
