NSC Staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in the greater Jeffersonville, IN area. 

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will support equipment and manufacturing operations which includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repairs of manufacturing related equipment as well as supporting equipment changeovers/setups and inventory of maintenance related supplies.

Essential Functions:
• The Maintenance Technician will perform required service and preventative maintenance on all machines and plant equipment.
• They will work with other team members and/or management to resolve departmental or company-wide issues and to implement new programs, procedures and policies while promoting and maintaining a positive team environment.
• The Maintenance Technician will participate in equipment modifications, installations or projects.
• They will assist the machine operators with equipment changeovers and setups as needed to support manufacturing operations.
• The Maintenance Technician will conduct thorough inspections of equipment and the facility to identify and report issues to management.
• They will maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment, cleaning their work area at the end of each shift.
• The Maintenance Technician will keep management and other team members informed of progress, issues and/or concerns.
• They will follow all OSHA and company safety practices, recognize hazards and perform any necessary corrections.

We would like to see candidates who have some or all of the following:
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Minimum 3 years of hands on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic experience; preferred in a manufacturing environment with exposure to mechanical blowers and rotating equipment.
• Troubleshooting skills in electrical, controls, PLC’s and drives using test equipment as necessary to complete assignments.
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work orders and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.
• Ability to work independently and be flexible with work priorities.
• CNC machining, fabrication and resistance/GMAW welding skills preferred.
• Team player with “can do” attitude and a proven track record of attendance.
• High school degree or equivalent required; college or technical degree preferred.

Working Conditions:
• Manufacturing environment
• Position will primarily be for day shift Monday – Friday but some other hours and weekends will be necessary
• Over-time may be required and is expected
