Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Technician B, you will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting various hybrid systems, circuit boards, and other electronic components. You will apply advanced electronic theory, work with schematics and detailed specifications, and use complex test equipment to isolate faults and ensure system functionality. This highly independent role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work autonomously, and the capacity to mentor and guide junior peers.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work in a manufacturing environment, exposed to large machinery, testing equipment, and electronics systems. The role may involve working with high-tech equipment in both standard office conditions and industrial settings, including exposure to noise, vibration, and other operational conditions. PPE is required, and safety is a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up tests, calibrate, align, and troubleshoot hybrids, circuit boards, units, boxes, and significant systems/test equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
- Use complex test procedures, detailed specifications, and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and document faults.
- Operate large vibration equipment and shake consoles in conjunction with shake tables.
- Conduct temperature, pressure, and tension tests to assess system performance.
- Perform functions related to all manufacturing operations, including setup and calibration tasks with engineers, rework, and quality testing for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data and make online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
- Contribute to developing methods and procedures to improve or modify manufacturing processes and assist engineers in conducting experiments.
- May act as a mentor to lower-level peers and guide tasks and troubleshooting methods.
- Make recommendations for solutions to improve system performance and quality.
- Must possess a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR 2 years post-secondary education/Associate’s Degree with 0 years of related experience.
- Highly developed job knowledge and skills in electronics, circuit board diagnostics, and system troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents such as schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using complex test equipment, including vibration, pressure, and temperature testing tools.
- Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions based on technical judgment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend solutions to complex technical issues.
- Experience operating large test equipment such as shake tables and vibration equipment.
- Previous experience mentoring junior peers is a plus.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (occasionally).
- Perform standing, walking, bending, squatting, and other physical activities as required.
- Must be comfortable working with electronics, machinery, and test equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle equipment, perform tests, and make adjustments.
- Ability to respond to visual, verbal, and audible cues during testing procedures.
