NSC Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Marine Mechanics for permanent positions in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

 

JOB DETAILS:

PAY: $30 - $35/hour

HOURS: 40

DURATION: Permanent

SCOPE:
 Maintenance and repair of marine engines & marine machinery
 

  • Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline and marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals
  • Establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and related equipment
  • Tests marine engines and equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments
  • Repairs and maintains hydraulic equipment and valves
  • Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment repair
  • Writes specifications for and recommends purchase of marine equipment, parts and supplies
  • Following company, industry and best practices regarding safety standards (safe equipment usage, personal protective equipment, reporting
  • Performs other appropriate tasks and duties as assigned

  • Requirements:
• Years of relevant work experience required:
   2 years’ experience
• Required licenses or certificates:
ABYC certification is preferred
• People Management: No
