Job Description:
- Entry level cable tech role they would ideally like someone with 1+ year experience preferred but someone from a laborer background would work
- Pulling/terminating/testing CAT5/CAT6
- Installing RJ45s
- Work at the CDC so a BG required
- Own common telecom hand tools
- Studies parts lists and gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for work preparation.
- Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Verifies, tests, and documents results of wiring terminations, cabling, and basic components.
- Assembles equipment racks, enclosures, back panels, and components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Routes, secures, and terminates copper and fiber optic cables and assemblies with intermediate complexity.
- Assembles copper and fiber optic cable harnesses with intermediate complexity.
- Kits equipment, devices, and materials for assembly and shipping.
- Installs and updates firmware and IP address devices
- Tests equipment, power, devices, and assemblies to ensure proper functionality, including prefabricated cable assemblies.
