NSC Staffing is hiring a Project Manager (DDG, LSD and LHD)  to manage Navy ship repair projects, specifically for DDG, LSD, and LHD classes of vessels. The ideal candidate will have shipboard repair experience, technical leadership skills, and a strong background in overseeing complex ship repair and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage ship repair projects for DDG, LSD, and LHD vessels, including installation, modification, and repair across multiple systems.
• Ensure project completion within the scope, schedule, and budget while adhering to customer specifications.
• Resolve project issues by collaborating with craft supervision, customers, and subcontractors.
• Conduct ship checks and attend project-related meetings to ensure successful execution.
• Assist in developing project proposals, job estimates, and schedules.
• Communicate milestones, schedules, and target dates to craft supervision and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Management Team.
• Interface with other departments, including Estimating, Quality Assurance, Environmental, and Production Support.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
• Oversee and instruct subcontractors and organic trade personnel as directed by the Ship Manager.


Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience with U.S. Navy ship repair and modernization contracts, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or project management role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or military schooling preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
• Experience with shipboard work control and tag-out procedures.
• Previous shipboard repair experience within a public or private shipyard, with prior military service considered equivalent experience.
• Must have DDG, LSD, and LHD vessel experience.
• Ability to utilize the Inspection Discrepancy Report (IDR) process to improve workflow.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex work plans and direct multiple subcontractors and personnel.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and work in varied and often challenging conditions.
