NSC Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Service Project Estimator for a permanent role in Flint, Michigan.

JOB DETAILS:
PAY:80K-95K
HOURS: Mon-Fri 
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: Permanent 
Position Duties:
  • Monitor sales leads
  • Define project scope of work
  • Get quotes from vendors and subcontractors
  • Kick off meetings
  • Provide turnover, proposal, recap, drawings for each sold project
  • Order material to start a project
  • Communicate with customer on project start date
  • Quote change orders (if needed)
  • Help fill out permits
  • Maintain relationship with customers
  • Closet out meetings (if needed)
  • Equipment evaluations for contract customers
  • Invoice & Material approval
  • Job Review/Profitability
  • Available to field/project managers for job questions
  • Energy Providers Rebates

Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly & comfortably with customers & employees over the phone & in person
  • Genuine care and compassion for the customer and the drive to help people are critical for this position
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work based on deadlines as well as excellent time management skills are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous construction or HVAC experience is a plus but is not required as training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is helpful
  • Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing a high emphasis on excellent customer service.



What we seek in an Estimator:
  • Experience in the skilled trades is preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry best practices
  • Thorough understanding of drawings, gas design, plumbing system design
  • Ability to quote and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors
  • Knowledge and Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and high attention to detail
  • Existing Customer Base is a plus
