NSC Staffing is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support full-cycle recruiting for one of our premier shipyard clients. This role is critical in maintaining the temporary and permanent labor resource needs, while ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines, employment regulations, and high-quality hiring standards. You will play an integral role in building a strong talent pipeline to support ship repair and industrial operations.
We are seeking a results-driven recruiting professional with experience in sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding candidates in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience:
? Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus 2 years of recruiting experience, or
? Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of recruiting experience, or
? 6 years of directly related recruiting experience.
? Prior recruiting experience in the ship repair, industrial, or marine industry preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and candidate selection.
• Knowledge of ship repair industry positions and trades is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with employment and labor laws.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR information.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems; PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Primarily office-based with occasional need to board ships and visit industrial areas within shipyards.
• Must be able to wear required PPE including hard hat, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses when on-site.
• Ability to commute across worksites, piers, shops, and industrial zones daily as needed.
• Exposure to weather conditions, uneven surfaces, industrial equipment, and moderate noise levels.

- Manage full-cycle recruitment for temporary and direct-hire positions, ensuring resource needs are met with qualified personnel.
- Develop and maintain recruitment strategies to attract diverse, qualified candidates.
- Coordinate all sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and act as the liaison with temporary labor providers.
- Attend and represent the company at job fairs, recruitment events, and networking functions.
- Build strategic partnerships with local job networks and community organizations.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified and interested candidates for current and future roles.
- Create and manage internal and external job postings, advertisements, and website updates.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Oversee internal transfer processes, including offer extensions and status updates.
- Generate recruiting reports using PeopleSoft and recruitment system data; manage system administration and process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Conduct audits of temporary labor providers to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support recruiting, workforce planning, and HR initiatives.
