ENGINEER PLANNING ANALYST 2
Job Title: Engineer Planning Analyst 2

NSC Staffing is hiring an Engineer Planning Analyst 2 to support the Advanced Manufacturing Department within the Specialty Engineering Team. This position is ideal for an experienced project controls, financial, or operations professional with strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and resource planning to support the growing Advanced Manufacturing group. This role is fast-paced and suited for individuals who excel at working independently, documenting processes, and driving tasks to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, develop, and coordinate project plans and schedules for new and ongoing engineering programs.
• Monitor costs, operational budgets, manpower requirements, and schedule milestones to ensure successful project execution.
• Conduct financial forecasting, project budgeting, invoicing, charge reconciliation, and workflow creation.
• Analyze project impacts across departments such as Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, and Labor to determine resource needs.
• Participate in negotiations with customers and stakeholders as needed.
• Assess project progress against established plans, identifying risks and formulating corrective actions (schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, funding changes).
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align project deliverables and operational requirements.
• Generate financial reports and project status updates using Microsoft Excel and SAP systems.
• Contribute to process development and documentation within this newly established department.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and risk mitigation strategies to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or
? Master’s Degree with 1 year of relevant experience, or
? 4 years of related exempt experience (in lieu of Bachelor’s), or
? 8 years of non-related exempt experience (in lieu of Bachelor’s), or
? Apprentice Certificate or graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School can substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of project management, operations, and financial processes.
• Ability to generate, interpret, and present financial reporting in Excel.
• Experience with project schedule development and risk mitigation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with excellent documentation and workflow creation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Additional Position Details:
• Travel: No travel required.
• Primary Work Location: Outside yard gates, elevator access available.
• Remote Work: Not available; on-site position.
• Yardwide Access: Required.
• PPE Requirements: Hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection.
