NSC Staffing is hiring a General Labor Supervisor to lead and manage a team of general laborers in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising general labor teams, promoting safety, and ensuring efficient and organized operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Supervision: Directly supervise and provide guidance to a team of 5-7 general laborers.
• Attendance Tracking: Maintain accurate daily attendance records for the assigned team.
• Task Assignment: Receive and communicate work instructions, effectively assigning tasks to the team to ensure clear understanding of duties and expectations.
• Worksite Coordination: Ensure general laborers are assigned to the correct work locations on site.
• Sonar Dome Operations: Oversee the safe and efficient movement of transducers out of the sonar dome, ensuring proper handling and care of the equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and procedures. Conduct regular safety checks and address potential hazards.
• Communication: Provide clear instructions, feedback, and updates to the team. Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate management.
• Efficiency and Productivity: Monitor team performance to optimize efficiency and productivity across all assigned tasks.
• Equipment and Tool Management: Ensure that general laborers are utilizing tools and equipment properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Training and Development: Assist in training new general laborers on tasks and safety procedures.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the workday, escalating to management when necessary.
• Worksite Organization: Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring that unnecessary obstructions are removed.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a general labor or similar environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate instructions and expectations.
