As a Skilled Shipyard Trade Worker, you will be responsible for performing various essential tasks to ensure the completion of shipbuilding and repair projects. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship and knowledge in shipyard environments, with tasks varying based on the trade. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety standards while contributing to the project's success.

As a Skilled Shipyard Trade Worker, you will be responsible for performing various essential tasks to ensure the completion of shipbuilding and repair projects. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship and knowledge in shipyard environments, with tasks varying based on the trade. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety standards while contributing to the project's success.
Key Responsibilities (vary by trade):
- Perform welding, fitting, electrical, machining, and fabrication duties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete tasks.
- Ensure all work meets the required specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete shipyard projects on time.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial or naval shipyard environment.
- Must have personal hand tools required for your trade.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Willingness to comply with safety regulations and company policies.
